Ephrem Nisrane is dedicated to uncovering and addressing healthcare inequities shaped by migration and health policy in Canada. His research focuses on the Interim Federal Health Program and the barriers that prevent newcomers from accessing essential care. Positioned at the intersection of natural and human sciences, he uses mixed methods to turn research into actionable policy insight.
Before moving into health equity research, Ephrem built experience in medical device manufacturing, biotechnology, quality systems, and chemical technology. His background includes work in operational, research, and quality functions, with strengths in systems improvement, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and applied innovation.
